Large part turning
Mekanisk Service Halden turns workpieces up to Ø2,300 mm, 14 metres long and weighing up to 50 tonnes. Our largest lathe has C and Y axes, driven tools and a grinding module, so much of the machining can be done in a single set-up. That means fewer set-ups, higher accuracy and shorter lead times.
Typical jobs
We turn shafts, rolls and other long and heavy components, both as new production and for repairs and service work. Smaller precision parts run on our other CNC lathes, so we handle everything from single parts and prototypes to series.

Inspection and documentation
Finished workpieces can be inspected with a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) or laser tracker before delivery, and our work follows ISO 9001 and our fully digital quality system. Read more about third-party inspection and CMM measurement and CNC machining.
